In John, Peter acknowledges Jesus’ words of eternal life; 2 Timothy explains how Scripture makes people wise for salvation and equips them. The invitation addresses believers and welcomes those who do not yet know him to hear the gospel. Singing can teach one another, lodging true content in memory and heart. Pair a short passage with sharing how the Word comforts, reminds or corrects us and willingness to practise it.
