Sources and Editorial Practice

百宝书 (baibaoshu.net) and Scripture Trove (scripturetrove.com) are the Chinese and English brands of the same Bible-learning platform. It began in the learning and pastoral needs of a Chinese church in Britain. Public materials are free for Christians, seekers and group leaders.

Distinguish Scripture from commentary

Chinese commentary uses the site’s Chinese Union Version with 上帝; English commentary normally uses the World English Bible (WEB). Other modules identify their versions where applicable. Scripture quotations are not original writing by this platform. Commentary and pastoral application do not have the authority of Scripture.

Preparation, review and responsibility

AI tools assist content preparation, within a workflow of drafting, independent review, publication and ongoing correction. AI review is not the same as a pastor checking every word. Named speakers, platform editors and human reviewers have distinct roles; material must not all be attributed to a single pastor as personal authorship. The platform remains responsible for editing and maintenance.

Interpretation and use

The material is grounded in evangelical Christian faith and attends to context, the whole Bible and church life. Distinguish the text’s statements, interpretive judgments and present-day application. Where interpretations differ, examine their reasoning and scriptural basis. Bring questions to pastors and companions in your own church.

Updates, citation and corrections

When citing, name the article, 百宝书 or Scripture Trove, and link to the source. Use a section link where available. A reading brief’s update date refers to that brief, not to the Bible text or the whole commentary. Report an error through the source article’s rating or feedback controls, including its location and the reason for concern.
