Psalm 139:10 promises that even there God's hand will lead and his right hand uphold. “There” points back to the preceding description of the farthest sea and descent to Sheol: the hand remains even in places that seem most devoid of God. Children often sing this song, making it especially moving. They have not necessarily learned the truth through experience themselves; they sing it ahead of time for everyone who cannot yet see. Isaiah 41:10 likewise promises support through God's righteous right hand. Use it in hardship and when praying for the next generation.
