The pilgrim journey · Prayer and drawing near
Through light, singing and springlike vitality, this hymn expresses the joy of renewed strength in the Lord’s presence. John reveals Jesus as the light of life; the Psalms also place fullness of joy before God. Such joy can flow out in thanksgiving and become hope for continued prayer amid hardship. Philippians connects joy, gentleness and entrusting our worries, helping us bring the gratitude within our hearts into real life. As we sing, we can thank the Lord for the little light we can still receive today and gently accompany those who cannot yet sing joyfully, looking to Christ together as we support one another.
Morning worship, fellowship thanksgiving, children’s gatherings and devotions on joy.
