The pilgrim journey · Prayer and drawing near
Inviting the sorrowful and weary to open to Jesus, this song asks Jesus to renew life through the Holy Spirit’s work. Matthew 11’s rest allows burdens to be laid down; John 7 connects living water’s hope to the Spirit’s gift. Entrusting ourselves to the Lord includes allowing him to touch deep pain and attachments. Ephesians 5 shows Spirit-filled life bearing grateful, mutually edifying song. Leave quiet prayer and respect different paces of expression, continuing care and companionship afterwards for those in need.
Prayer meetings, Pentecost, retreat reflection and caring prayer amid sorrow.
