The glory of God · Faithfulness and covenant keeping
Communal celebration proclaims the Lord’s works and hopes for his promises to be revealed among everyone. The year-of-favour image connects with Luke 4, where Jesus announces good news to the poor and oppressed, teaching salvation’s freedom and renewal. Second Corinthians 1 centres the reliability of God’s promises in Christ, helping prayer by his Word and waiting in his will. Witness to all peoples can begin with the redemption the Lord has already accomplished and answer nearby needs through service and mercy. Celebration carries gospel content and urges outward sharing of grace.
Mission services, thanksgiving celebrations, gospel-themed gatherings and worship for church unity.
