The pilgrim journey · Mission and the gospel
This communal prayer connects Kingdom hope to present church life: the called people listen humbly to the Lord, intercede for those without gospel knowledge and offer to go. The Lord’s Prayer prioritises the Father’s will; First Peter 2 gives the holy nation a mission to proclaim his excellence. Asking the Spirit’s renewal therefore desires repentance, unity and real witness. Bring local needs into prayer and ask the Lord for courage to love people and share the gospel. Hope of his Kingdom being fully revealed urges a present answer in holiness and mercy.
