The glory of God · Goodness and provision
Using the language of inheritance and portion in the cup, Psalm 16 expresses security received from God. Along this line, the work brings the Lord’s provision, care and presence into personal thanksgiving, finally looking towards satisfaction before him. Keeping the Lord always before us requires remembering his teaching in daily decisions and acknowledging all possessions as entrusted by him. Amid life’s changes, belonging helps reassess gain and loss: gifts can be treasured and uncertainty placed in his hands. Let the heart quieten gradually in singing, considering benefits received and asking wisdom to use today’s life well.
Prayers of trust, thanksgiving meetings, study of Psalm 16 and life transitions.
