The glory of God · Loving kindness and mercy
Beginning with the bright scenes of morning and nature, this song invites us to receive the joy of being loved in Christ. Psalm 104 leads us to praise the Lord’s wisdom in the created world; Romans 8 grounds the assurance of love in Jesus Christ, enabling it to withstand the testing of circumstances. Small everyday beauties thus become an entrance into thanksgiving and remind us to notice the gifts God has already given. John 15 connects abiding in the Lord’s love with keeping his commandments, giving joy a direction in life. After singing, we can share one kindness we have received and bring the love we have received to those around us.
Opening fellowship gatherings, youth gatherings, family worship and sharing thanksgiving.
