The pilgrim journey · Prayer and drawing near
Flowing life-giving water expresses longing for the Spirit’s work, bringing the congregation humbly before God to wait and receive. In John 7, Jesus joins living water to the Spirit believers will receive; Revelation’s river of life belongs to hope in the new creation. Renewal given by the Spirit appears through fruit such as love, joy, peace and self-control, bringing prayer into communal daily relationships. We can open our habits and thoughts to the Lord and ask him to illuminate areas needing change. Worship’s welcome becomes willingness to be guided, letting his life-giving supply flow into family, work and neighbours’ needs.
Teaching the Spirit’s work, waiting prayer, renewal of life and church retreats.
