The glory of God · Holiness and majesty
This praise focuses on the Lord upon the throne, making his holiness, almighty power and eternal kingship the content of worship. The worship in Revelation 4 acknowledges that all things exist by God’s will, so creatures return honour and thanksgiving to him. Psalm 93 also strengthens our faith through the everlasting throne, helping the congregation recognise who governs history amid turmoil. The song’s simple declarations suit a united response, and each repetition can become a prayer of bowing before the Lord afresh. Leaders can first read the relevant passages, then notice how God’s holiness calls us to come before him with honest, humble lives.
Sunday calls to worship, worship on holiness, united services and responses to Scripture reading.
