Confession and repentance · Following and obedience
This short prayer joins love for the Lord, longing and doing his will, inviting repeated reflection on each line’s desire. Psalm 63 expresses thirst for God, while John 14 links loving Jesus with keeping his commands. Drawing near therefore touches practical life: arranging time, treating family and willingness to obey amid difficulty. Invite quiet consideration of one thing the Lord brings to mind today, then sing a shared response and pray for one another’s strength to act. Longing can gradually bear the fruit of following.
Response to a sermon, personal devotions, discipleship and prayers of commitment.
