The pilgrim journey · Service and gifts
Turning our attention to weary and sorrowful people along life’s road, this song asks that our own lives may help them come to know the Lord’s grace. Second Corinthians explains that we receive comfort from God and can help others with the comfort we have received; 1 John connects love with practical action. As we sing, we can consider what the people we meet today need and be willing to give our time, patience and abilities. Service also includes honestly speaking of Christ’s salvation, so that what we say and what we do bear witness to one another. Those who become a blessing still need to rely on the Lord and support one another as coworkers, so that they can accompany neighbours in need with humble and enduring love.
Mission, dedication of coworkers, commissioning for ministries of care and worship on service.
