The glory of God · Christ: glory made visible
This song honours Jesus’ kingship and brings the reality of his past death and present glory into congregational worship. Philippians 2 helps us see that Christ’s humiliation and exaltation together reveal who he is; Revelation 5 calls all creation to give praise to the Lamb. Through his redemption, the church also becomes his people and can serve him in life. As we sing, we can consider how our time, abilities and decisions belong to this King, putting honour into practice as faithfulness. When we praise with one voice, we also remember that the Lord’s Kingdom extends beyond our local community and join believers everywhere in acknowledging his glory.
