Redeeming grace · Freely given grace
The song looks back on searching for satisfaction in many kinds of pleasure and then describes how meeting Jesus brings a new understanding of our inward hunger and thirst. John 4 uses living water to explain the life the Lord gives; in Psalm 63, a thirsty cry also turns into the satisfaction of drawing near to God. The Lord’s love nourishes us and makes us willing to receive his guidance, including the road of bearing the cross. Difficulties may still come, but a heart that is loved can continue asking the Lord for strength. This song can be connected with real testimonies, helping listeners see how faith changes the direction of life and continues to bring hope in ordinary days and difficult ones.
Gospel gatherings, baptismal testimonies, worship on the Lord’s love and accompanying people in faith.
