The pilgrim journey · Companionship and guidance
Changing seasons picture life’s stages. Days change, while the Lord’s companionship gives courage to continue. From comfort amid storms, the work looks back over growth along the road and entrusts the future to the ever-faithful God. In Deuteronomy 31, Moses encourages Joshua, about to assume responsibility, that the Lord will be with him. Hebrews similarly strengthens believers through his promise never to forsake them. Such companionship allows fatigue and fear, helping us start again through prayer and fellow members’ support. In reviewing the years, count specific mercies received and ask wisdom and patience for the next stage.
