The pilgrim journey · Prayer and drawing near
This Scripture song concentrates on the Lord’s Prayer’s petitions for the Kingdom and God’s will, ordering personal desires beneath the heavenly Father’s rule. The congregation acknowledges that authority and glory belong to God and asks for his will to unfold on earth. Its final section brings prayer into our own lives, reminding us to prepare to obey teaching already understood when praying for the world. Such prayer touches integrity at work, forgiveness in relationships and willingness to act where needs arise. While waiting for Christ’s Kingdom fully revealed, we learn to do what pleases him today, answering the sung desire in life.
Corporate prayer, teaching the Lord’s Prayer, praying for church vision and an obedient response after a sermon.
