The glory of God · Creation and sovereignty
Floods and storms expose our limits, yet within this scene Psalm 29 declares that God reigns for ever and gives peace to his people. Following the psalm’s picture, this song asks the Lord for rest amid busyness and storms. In John 16, Jesus likewise tells his disciples that the world does bring trouble, yet peace can be found in him because he has overcome the world. Give people under pressure enough room to bring fear, fatigue and unresolved problems before the Lord. Afterwards, pray for particular circumstances, asking him for wisdom, help and strength to support one another, learning to trust him while the storms continue.
Peace and sovereignty themes, prayer amid busyness and comfort facing storms.
