The pilgrim journey · Unity and love
Brothers and sisters separated by distance can still remember one another in Christ. This blessing asks joy, hope and peace for the other person and encourages everyone to follow the victorious Lord together. Romans 15 joins hope to the Holy Spirit’s power; Colossians 3 urges Christ’s peace to rule within; Ephesians describes church unity in the same Lord. At farewell or commissioning, invite specific prayer requests before blessing one another through the song. Understand its pictures of struggle and release within Christ’s victory and gospel mission: relying on him to resist sin and spiritual bondage, witnessing to Christ, caring for sufferers and loving neighbours. Keep in touch across the distance to support one another.
