The pilgrim journey · Prayer and drawing near
This short prayer joins love for the Lord, singing and the desire to please him. Psalm 104 lets praise and inward meditation answer one another; Psalm 19 brings words and thoughts together before the Lord. Singers can therefore examine whether their voices express genuine thanks and what their hearts treasure. First John reminds us that our loving response comes from his prior love. Leave a quiet pause to help the congregation voice thanks to the Lord and hand him feelings difficult to express, desiring that everyday words and actions also become responses pleasing to him.
Quiet worship, personal devotions, thanksgiving prayer and responses of love.
