Redeeming grace · The incarnation
Using giving and receiving presents, this gospel song invites knowledge of the Father’s gift of Jesus. Turning gradually to the manger, it lets Christmas warmth carry news of the Saviour’s birth. Luke 2 identifies him as Saviour come for people; John 3 roots the gift in God’s love for the world. Grace invites a personal response of faith, knowing and following Christ. Gently explain the salvation represented by the gift, leave exploring friends room for questions and thought, and help believers treasure received life afresh.
