The glory of God · Goodness and provision
Like a companion’s gentle, firm reminder, this hymn repeatedly speaks the heavenly Father’s promise of care to the weary and worried. Care includes daily needs and support through trials, allowing people to tell the Lord their fears. Speaking of birds and lilies, Jesus invites disciples to know the Father and seek his Kingdom first; First Peter urges believers to cast worries on the caring Lord. Let comfort and practical care happen together as a church sings: remember the sick, help those lacking necessities and accompany brothers and sisters carrying pressure alone. Hope received in prayer can become felt grace through mutual care.
Visiting the sick and older people, care gatherings, prayer meetings and comfort amid difficulty.
