The song offers love and worship to Father, Son and Holy Spirit in turn, bringing the congregation into the triune God’s glory. Matthew 28’s baptismal command and the blessing at the end of Second Corinthians help the church know Father, Son and Spirit as distinct yet equally honoured within salvation. Asking that the Lord’s name be glorified throughout earth also opens personal prayer towards all peoples. Give each section a clear recipient and consider how God gives grace through creation, redemption and presence. Love expressed in prayer can extend into keeping the Lord’s teaching and loving one another, honouring his name in life.
