Confession and repentance · Surrender and dedication
This hymn calls people to offer energy, received gifts and life’s priorities to the Lord, especially encouraging a serious response in youth. Offering grows from the Saviour’s prior self-giving love, making service grateful and faithful. Colossians brings working for him into daily labour, while First Timothy encourages young believers to be examples in speech and life. Examine schedules and identify a responsibility needing serious attention. Giving our best also means honestly recognising limits and cooperating with fellow members, growing enthusiasm through lasting, reliable service.
