The pilgrim journey · Unity and love
Ephesians 2 says that outsiders become fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household through Christ’s blood. Galatians likewise declares the unity of different people in Christ. Salvation establishes the church’s family relationship, which depends neither on compatible personalities, similar ages nor shared ethnicity. It therefore urges people to love across divisions. Family language also carries responsibilities and boundaries: protect the vulnerable, address harm honestly, and never use intimate terms to conceal misuse of power or cancel safeguarding standards. True unity lets the world recognise Christ’s disciples by their love.
