The pilgrim journey · Companionship and guidance
From loneliness and waiting in prayer, this song gradually looks towards life’s end, placing faith on a lifelong road. Psalm 121 directs people to the maker of heaven and earth for help, and Second Corinthians 12 makes grace in weakness known. Its distant hope can also prompt reflection on faithfulness and the Lord’s crown in Second Timothy 4. When visiting older people or those waiting, listen first to their recollections, then entrust today’s needs to the Lord together. Past support can encourage continuing endurance while the future road is placed in his hands.
Older people’s fellowship, prayer while waiting, life review and sharing about the hope of eternal life.
