Hope for the end of the age · Eternal life and rest
Life’s meetings, partings and dark nights lead this song towards lasting hope. Starlight and dawn can help sufferers lift their gaze. Read alongside First Peter 1 to know hope’s foundation: Jesus Christ rose from the dead, giving believers an inheritance that lasts for ever. Romans 8 reminds us to wait patiently for what remains unseen; Revelation 21 places the promise of tears wiped away within God’s final renewal. When comforting, accompany real grief while gently directing the congregation towards the Lord’s accomplished salvation and the glory he will yet reveal.
Accompaniment in grief, gatherings on the hope of eternal life, funeral services and pastoral visits.
