The pilgrim journey · Unity and love
Using Psalm 133’s imagery of dew and harmony, this fellowship song depicts the grace brothers and sisters receive as they gather because of the Lord. God’s word, the Holy Spirit’s work and mutual love shape the community together, giving the peace within the gathering a spiritual foundation. Ephesians calls the church a dwelling for God through the Holy Spirit; Colossians also connects love, peace and teaching one another. As we sing, we can thank the Lord for the spiritual family he has given and remember where relationships still need repair. Taking the initiative to listen, being willing to forgive and welcoming newcomers all allow the harmony for which the song hopes gradually to become visible in everyday life.
