Redeeming grace · The incarnation
Joining the infant in the manger to a child’s intimate prayer, this Christmas hymn moves from observing the birth to asking his companionship each day. Luke records Jesus’ simple birth circumstances and God’s Son truly entering human life. While using its tender infant picture, teach children Jesus’ complete humanity: he genuinely experienced growth and human weakness. Pray together for family, classmates and children needing care. Affection for the holy child can begin following the Saviour, while family care responds to his acceptance of children.
